AI Use Statement

DRAFT – not yet approved. Starter wording, generated from how this site actually handles data. A solicitor or the trustees need to review it, and every [BRACKETED] placeholder filled in, before we go public. Delete this banner once it’s signed off.

Made by humans, for humans. Carnival of the Commons exists to put real people in real rooms making real music together. No algorithm does that, and none ever will on our behalf.

The music stays human

We never use artificial intelligence to generate, imitate or stand in for a performance, or to replace the artists we exist to champion. The playing, the singing and the room are always the real thing.

Behind the scenes

Like most small organisations, we may use AI tools for everyday admin – drafting a newsletter, tightening some wording, kicking around ideas. When we do, a person always reviews the result before it reaches you. The judgement stays ours.

Words and pictures on this site

Where a piece of text or an image has been made with AI assistance, we review it and label it where it matters. [If any imagery currently on the site is AI-assisted, note it here – otherwise delete this sentence.]

Your data

We do not sell your personal information, or hand it to third parties, to train AI models. How we handle your data is set out in our Privacy Policy.

A living statement

These tools change fast, and so will we. We will keep this statement up to date as our approach evolves. Thoughts? Email [CONTACT EMAIL].
