For six hundred years, the patron has stood behind the artist.
Not as owner. As enabler.

Cultural support has never been more necessary, or more scarce.
Governmental funding for the arts is in retreat. Technology has fractured the economics of music-making. And yet the need for shared, live, participatory culture has never been greater.
Amor Musicae exists to answer that need – as the only UK charity dedicated to reminding musicians and music-lovers how joyous musical creation can be. Carnival of the Commons is its first and founding project.
Cultural authorship has always had two names on it.
Your patronage will attach your name, and your family's, to something permanent: the artefacts created, the community built, and the future generations of artists it sustains.
The first name is already written.
The second is yours.
Amor Musicae – Latin for the love of music – is the charitable foundation behind Carnival of the Commons. Its purpose is simple: to put patronage back in the service of living musicians and the shared, in-person spaces where music is made, not merely consumed.
